Spring Endorsements, Round 1 – Vote on 2/5!

NOTE: All candidates who were recommended for endorsement at this meeting received an endorsement via vote by the membership.

In addtion, Martha Siravo, candidate for MMSD Seat 3, received an endorsement from the floor.

At our February Membership Meeting, we’ll hear from State Superintendent of Schools candidate Jeff Wright.

Dane Dems members will also have the opportunity to vote on our first round of endorsement recommendations, listed below.

Please note that there will be a second round of endorsements to vote on at the March 12 meeting.  Given the number of endorsement requests we received there was no possibility that we could render a decison on all of them in the 9 days between the time questionnaires were due and the time we needed to have endorsement recommendations posted for the February meeting.  Also, our governing documents prohibit us from making an endorsement in a primary where 2+ Democrats are running and fewer seats are available than the number of Democrats running, so we cannot make endorsements in those races by February 5.
