Celebrate spring election victories!

A statement from County Party Chair Mike Basford:

“Today is a great day for Democrats in Dane County! All over Dane County, voters yesterday chose strong, progressive Democrats to represent them in local office. And in turning out voters for these races, we were able to help Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice-Elect Rebecca Dallet net 81 percent of the Dane County vote — an unprecedented percentage in a Supreme Court race.

“These victories represent hope for a better future in Dane County and also represent a stinging rebuke to the divisive and regressive policies of Donald Trump, Scott Walker and the Republicans in charge of our state and national government. Dane County has the strongest economy in Wisconsin and is routinely regarded as one of the best places to live in America because voters entrust their local governments to hard-working Democrats who deliver better communities for the people who elect them. Last night’s results ensure that this will continue into the future.

“Scott Walker’s Twitter tantrum last night shows that these results have unnerved him and that he’s scared. He should be. Democrats and the voters who support them are ready for this November, when we will win elections all over Wisconsin and bring much-needed change.”

Across the county, 50 of our candidates won their races. Excluding dual endorsements, only one Dane Dems candidate was defeated. We thank all of our endorsed candidates for competing in the spring election, as well as all the Democrats who supported them with their volunteer time, financial donations and votes, and we congratulate these victorious candidates:
